WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

  • "The Rock'n Rooms organization has completely changed the way patients and families are supported throughout their extended hospital stay. It empowers patients to use their creativity, connects them to their interests, and promotes comfort and normalcy during a very vulnerable time in their life. This organization recognizes that an unfamiliar environment can increase the stress of hospitalization for many children and teens. Rock'n Rooms is so meaningful to our patients and families, because it connects them to a sense of security, control, and comfort. They speak the language of play, safety, and connection! We are so appreciative of their support!"

  • “Rock'n Rooms baskets are truly magical 😊 Often, after a basket has been dropped off, parents will say, “I haven’t seen them smile like this in a long while”….or “it’s the first time they wanted to sit up today!”, or “this feels like Christmas morning”. The care and thoughtfulness that goes into each basket, to really capture the interests of each child, or teen, is truly remarkable. It is so evident how much they care. It also offers an opportunity for staff to engage with the kids in a playful way as they start to decorate their room and talk about their favorite things. Such a meaningful way to support the whole family and the staff. Rock'n Rooms rocks!"

  • "Our long-term patients greatly benefit from the fun, comfort and normalcy the Rock’n Rooms baskets provide. Our patients love being able to choose a theme for their basket and are thrilled with the personalized name sign, amazing games and activities, room décor, bedding and other items chosen especially for them. Parents and caregivers are always surprised and thankful for the special care package they receive as well. We are so grateful to have this wonderful local organization provide such a generous gift that lifts the spirits and brings joy to our wonderful patients and families."

  • “Thank you so much for the thoughtful basket for ****! His room is now a fun place to be - thanks for making this experience fun/happy as possible. We hope that he will hold on to the good moments like this and forget all the tough ones. **** was so excited to see Mickey on his door and was even more excited to see the basket of goodies when he ran in! All of the goodies have been such a great distraction, and he loves cuddling with his Mickey blanket. You guys are doing a wonderful thing for the children. Thank you so much.”
